Ariana draws pictures and plays with her young daughters, often at the same time. Before becoming an illustrator, she studied African history at Yale and UC Berkeley, investigated school corruption in NYC, and once spent a month serving as human paper shredder at the Stanford University dump. Eventually, she gave it all up to pursue an illustration degree at California College of the Arts. She has never looked back. She lives with her family on the coast of Maine.
